Famous TV anchors Kashif Abbasi and Mehr Bokhari got married here on Thursday. Though they did not make it public as it was a purely family event.

Family friends of Kashif Abbasi revealed that the Kazim Naqvi performed the Nikah in the presence of friends and relatives.

Kashif and Mehr are popular TV anchors. Kashif started his career with newspaper and now lead the ARY news channel while Mehr started her career with Samaa TV and recently switched to Dunya TV.

Reema Khan is getting Married with an US based Doctor

So, the good news is that beautiful, glamorous and pretty famous Pakistani film actress and director Reema Khan is finally tying the knot.Well! Her soon-to-be-hubby is neither a singer nor an actor or director, he is actually a Doctor from America named as Dr. Tariq Shahab.What we are hearing is that the Mayon ceremony is going to take place on 15th November i.e tomorrow. The news has not been broken though but it is obvious that she would have planned to do it months back or maybe weeks back but today as reported by several online publications, it became the talk of people that finally Reema is getting married with Dr. Tariq Shahab.It is also interesting to note that the reports of “Reema marrying Dr. Tariq” was floating for quite sometime. But now it seems very much obvious that there is something definitely happening.

After her Rukhsati, Reema would have a stay at America. The decided date for Reema’s Rukhsati is set on 18th November. Reportedly, the Lollywood Queen is also in America right now.

Priyanka Chopra, missing from the posters of Don 2 so far, finally makes her presence felt on the new poster of the movie directed by Farhan Akhtar. 

Sitting in front of the dapperly Don, Priyanka strikes a subtly sensuous pose as she shows a bit of skin from under a gorgeous black gown and she flashes a mild smile even as she wields a smoking gun in one hand, looking every bit a femme fatale. The kind Don loves to play around with. 

Shahrukh himself looks squeaky clean in a black suit and he throws a sullen expression at the camera. 

Don 2' will release on December 23. The film will be released in both 2D and 3D .

Happy Birthday Shahrukh Khan

Shahrukh Khan turns 46 today. The superstar plans to spend it with good hours of sleep, catching up with his kids, and a party in the evening.

The King Khan has been living out of a suitcase for a while now. First, he set off on a whirlwind tour of India to promote his ‘baby’ Ra.One; then he flew to Dubai, London and Toronto for the respective premieres of the film. He arrived in Delhi for the Indian F1 Grand Prix and the after-party with Lady Gaga. All this while, he has been repeatedly saying that he’s missing his kids Aryan and Suhana.

Finally, on Tuesday Shahrukh Khan flew into Mumbai to a hearty welcome. The birthday celebration began in the plane itself.

“Thanx so much boys & girls. celebrated my birthday in the plane 30000 ft in the air...then on the tarmac...finally with my lil girl & boy,” Shahrukh wrote on Twitter on the eve of his birthday.

And when Shahrukh reached home there were people waiting outside to wish him. The love and adulation made Shahrukh teary-eyed.

“(I) was so touched when i reached home...soo many ppl waiting outside the house and sang happy birthday for me. had tears in my eyes,” Shahrukh added.

So how does he plan to celebrate his birthday today?

“Going to sleep now...this birthday will celebrate with a well deserved many hours of sleep...thanx for ur wishes. dont feel older or wiser..” Shahrukh wrote.

We hear that the friends of the superstar will be coming together in the evening for a birthday party.

My statue is more beautiful than me - Kareena Kapoor

It’s been a couple of days and Kareena Kapoor is still talking about her Madame Tussauds homage in wax. “My statue is more beautiful than me!” she has exclaimed, while marveling at the preciseness of her wax replica. “Even the absolute minutest details like my fingernails, toenails, even the texture of my skin, is so exact. It’s amazing.” No, we’re not rolling our eyes. We too would be bubbling over with joy and reveling in our own beauty had we a wax figure of ourselves at Tussauds and a newly instated nawab fiancé. And a Shahid Kapoor left embittered in the wake of our love. If there was a mission truly dear to our hearts, it would be to annoy Shahid into smiling in that frowny, passive aggressive way of his. While we too think that Kareena is rather lovely, we now know what she likes best about herself too! “I like my eyes. I’m quite proud of them. And yes, I think my eyes do come alive in the statue – the glint, my eagerness and naughtiness shine through.”

Meanwhile, this is whom Kareena would like to stand next to her for all eternity, till heat do them part: “I would love my sister Karisma’s statue next to mine. I’m not complete without her.”

We actually have a suggestion for this one. It is inevitable that Saif Ali Khan will get a spot at Madame Tussauds sooner or later; the museum can cut down on costs by just getting Saif to moonlight as his wax figure as a second career as his wonderfully smooth face is just a step away from looking like he is made of wax. Karisma can be next to Kareena, and they can move Hrithik’s figure around to this little group giving Kareena a discreet side-eye and Shahid seven feet away from them, bedecked in his Mausam finery, glaring disapprovingly at them through his aviators. Wax figures and the tragedy of love in one! Win-win for everyone.

The woman who aged from 23 to 73 in a few days

These pictures may look like an attractive woman in her 20s and her grandmother.

But they are said to be the same person – apparently taken just days apart.

The young Vietnamese woman at the centre of the improbable medical case, Nguyen Thi Phuong, claims the transformation may have come about because of an extreme allergy to seafood.

Nguyen, 26, says she developed this puffy face and sagging skin in 2008 but was too poor to seek treatment. Earlier this month, doctors said they would examine her free of charge.

Nguyen’s husband, carpenter Thanh Tuyen, insists the story is true and his love has not faded for his once-beautiful wife.

She has always worn wear a mask in public to hide her appearance from prying eyes, but she has now sought help from doctors to see if they can reverse the 'ageing' effect.

Displaying photos of a beautiful 21-year-old woman on her wedding day in 2006, Mrs Nguyen said: 'Five years ago, I was rather pretty and not so ugly like this, right?'

Mrs Nguyen believes her condition was caused by a life-long allergy to seafood.

She said she had suffered a particularly bad reaction in 2008.

'I was really itchy all over my body. I had to scratch even while sleeping.'

Phuong said she took some medicine bought at a local pharmacy instead of going to the hospital because her and her husband Tuyen, now 33, were too poor to afford it.

She said: 'After one month of taking the drugs, I became less itchy but hives remained on my skin.
Then I switched to traditional medicine and all the hives disappeared, together with my itching. However, my skin began to sag and fold.'

Mrs Nguyen then took another kind of traditional medicine to treat her rapid-aging skin problem - but to no avail.

Doctors say it may have been the long-term use of traditional medicines that caused the condition as they are often spiked with corticoids. These steroids speed up the effects of the unregulated remedies but could also have triggered the rare skin disease mastocytosis, where the body produces too many mast cells.

The couple do not remember what the medicine was or which pharmacy they got it from.

Mrs Nguyen said: 'We considered that it was our destiny and I quit treatment in 2009. Now I always wear a face mask whenever I go out.

'The skin on my face, chest and belly have folds like an old woman who has given birth several times although I have never had a child.

'But the rapid-aging syndrome hasn't affected my menstrual cycle, hair, teeth, eyes and mind.'

In 2010, the couple migrated to the southern province of Binh Phuoc's Bu Dop District where they rent a small wooden house.

Mr Nguyen continued to work as a carpenter while Phuong got a job at a cashew-nut processing factory. Both earn a total of less than £92 a month - which means they cannot afford an examination at a major hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.

Tuyen said his wife's disease has not affected his love for her or their relationship.

He said: 'I married Phuong when she was a beautiful woman. I have followed her through her disease and have never been shocked at all.

'It's not easy to talk about one's own marital affairs. Just simply understand that I still love her very much.'

Mrs Nguyen said her husband's love is the reason she is able to persevere in the face of adversity.

She said: 'He still loves me like before despite the fact that I look old and ugly. With him, I feel more confident to live and work.'

On October 2, doctors from Nguyen Dinh Chieu Hospital in Ben Tre Province said they would examine Phuong for free and send her to the HCMC Dermatology Hospital if they failed to diagnose her condition.

There is already some disagreement among doctors over the cause of the rare condition.

Doctor Vo Thi Bach Suong of the HCMC University of Medicine and Pharmacy, said: 'She might have taken corticoid for a long time. Many traditional pharmacists use corticoid in their medicine, leading to side effects like swelled face and abnormally-growing skin sections.'

Nguyen Hoai Nam, another lecturer at the university, agreed that Phuong may suffer from the wrongful use of corticoid. (Source: Dailymail)

Veena Malik does an Item number for Bollywood Movie

Veena Malik has finally managed to make her debut in Bollywood with a spicy item number for Riteish Deshmukh-Genelia D’Souza starrer, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya directed by Mandeep Kumar. Though this is her first item song, she feels that it was just the right one for her.

She says, “I had many offers but I wanted to pick the best one. This song is spicy and goes perfectly with my personality, at least I feel that. I hope its the right decision. Enjoyed doing it is an understatement.”

When questioned about the reaction of the people of Pakistan on her gyrating on a spicy song, Veena says that they would love her all the same. “They love me. I’m their favourite child,” she said.

She added that there’s no concept of item numbers in Pakistan, “There are hardly any films being made in Pakistan at the moment. Hope that changes soon.”

10th Lux Style Awards 2011 - Pictures

The 10th Lux Style Awards 2011 were held in Expo center Karachi last night with awards presented in Fashion, Music, television & entertainment categories.  

A night full of glamour & style, Lux style awards now have become the most prestigious awards of Pakistan aswell as most hyped up social event of the entertainment industry.

The show started with the National Anthem. The main hosts were former VJMahira Khan, BOL famed actress, Her MTV VJ partner Faizan Haque, and the guys from BNN (Banana News Network). The show was rocked by the stage performances from HSY & Reema, Aaminah Haque & Ammar Belal, Aamina Sheikh, Meera, Mathira, Ahsan Khan and Many More. Reema & HSY danced to the tune of Reema’s latest Movie track “Love Mein Ghum”.

This year’s Lux Style Awards also paid tribute to legendary actor Moin Akhtar who passed away recently.

The most hyped up event in Lux Style awards is not just the winners of the awards but the red carpet event that shows the glamour of these shining stars. This year the red carpet was hosted byMathira, dressed in a costume designed by Shehla Chatoor. Fashion Icon Frieha Altaf was dressed in a gown, stunning creating of Fahad Hussayn. Model Amna Ilyas won best dressed female at Red Carpet after wearing a beautiful blue dress designed by Fahad Hussayn. Aamina Sheikh as well wore Fahad Hussayn’s backless black gown.

Meera was spotted in white & Silver sari, while Mahira Khan was in elegant Deepak Perwani creation. Bushra Ansari endorsed creation by Umar Sayeed, a maroon top with a choridar pajama. Celebrities Sahira Kazmi and Savera Nadeem wore Sana Safinaz outfits. While Anoushey Ashraf was in Sanam Chaudhri’s Creation, A perfect blend of east and west. Model Ayyan came in Sonya Battla‘s black gown.

Justin Bieber Wears Women’s Jeans

Justin Bieber wears what's comfortable -- it's as simple as that. The pop sensation rocked the red carpet at Dolce & Gabbana's Fashion's Night Out event in New York City, where he spoke about his own fashion choices, including women's jeans.

Bieber spoke to Life & Style magazine about his affinity for ladies' jeans. "I've worn women's jeans before because they fit me. It's not a trend; it's just, whatever works, works." Again, Justin says this isn't a trend, so if everybody starts wearing Not Your Daughter's Jeans, don't blame him. 

Bieber was responding to a question about Kanye West's decision to wear a women's sweater. "It wasn't (so he'd) look like a woman in a sweater; it was just a regular sweater that happened to be a woman's."

An article from the Yahoo! Contributor Network points out that Justin and Kanye aren't the only male stars to wear women's duds. Actress Liv Tyler has caught her dad, Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler, wearing her threads. Same deal with Zoe Kravitz of "X-Men: First Class" fame. Her papa, Lenny Kravitz, has been known to raid her closet.

The Biebs is no stranger to nontraditional styles, though he's not going to cross into Lady Gaga "meat dress" territory. At the 2011 Billboard Music Awards, Justin rocked an Elvis-like glittery gold dinner jacket. He's worn leopard-print shoes, oddly oversized glasses, and white leather with rhinestones (always a bold choice). And don't forget the women's jeans. You got a problem with that?

Ali Azmat and Fariha Khan (Chapra) Wedding Pictures

Ali Azmat ex-lead vocalist of Junoon, is finally getting married with Fariha Chapra (Fariha Khan) who has worked on AAG TV as a Producer and now works for Dunya TV.

Fariha Chapra also belongs to the music and media industry and has worked in AAG TV.

The Valima ceremony will be held today on 11th Septembet 2011.

We have just been told that her name is Fariha Khan. She borrowed Chapra from her ex husband Shariq Chapra whom she got divorced with long time before she started dating Ali.

Have you ever seen 3D printer – Milling Machine?

The answer can be yes or no, but have you ever seen 3D printer made out of Lego?

Arthur Sacek from Brazil’s ZOOM Education for Life have made 3D milling machine and get everybody attention. The machine is made of LEGO pieces except for the electric saw. You just insert a block of floral foam, the machine is cutting away layer by layer, just for about two and a half hours the product is finish.
