Belgium's Princess Mathilde Gives Birth
Belgian Crown Princess Mathilde, the wife of the Belgian heir Crown Prince Philippe, gave birth to the couple's fourth child - a girl - on Wednesday in Anderlecht, Belgium. The child, now fifth in line for the throne, was born at 4:50am and weighed 3210 grams. The Palace released a statement, saying that the Princess' names are Eléonore Fabiola Victoria Anne Marie. Eléonore joins big sister Princess Elisabeth (6), and big brothers Prince Gabriël (4 and a half) and Prince Emmanuel (2 and a half). Variants of the name Eléonore have graced four royal children in the past three years - Crown Prince Felipe of Spain's eldest is named Leonor, Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands' youngest is Leonore and his cousin Prince Floris' daughter has the middle name Eleonoor. Below is a picture of the proud dad and siblings leaving the Erasmus Hospital yesterday.

France's Sarko & Carla take on the Brits
French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his Italian model-turned-First Lady wife Carla Bruni-Sarkozy travelled to England for a State Visit to HM Queen Elizabeth II between March 26 and 28. The pair were greeted at the airport upon their arrival by the Prince of Wales and his wife, Camilla Duchess of Cornwall, before being taken to meet with the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. Among their visits during the State Visit were a meeting with British Parliament - including the obligatory visit to 10 Downing Street and British PM Gordon Brown -, a wreath-laying ceremony at the statue of Charles de Gaulle, and two state banquets at Windsor Castle. Carla was hailed with a style that has been called "part Jackie Kennedy, part Princess Diana", staying loyal to French fashion house Dior for the entire trip. The only sour point to Carla's wardrobe was the drab shades of grey she wore during the first day, and semi carried over into the second; and the fact that Sarko needed his ego to be in check, which meant the former model couldn't wear any shoes apart from frikkin flats! With evening wear too! They invented kitten heels for a reason Sarko!

Harry Arrives Home
Prince Harry has arrived home in England, following the revelations that he's been serving in Afghanistan since late December. The prince arrived back at the RAF Brize Norton in Oxford, to be greeted by his father, Prince Charles, and brother, Prince William. Charles told reporters that, "It's a great relief to see him home in one piece. It's been quite difficult also having to keep quiet about the fact he was serving in that part of the world. People kept saying to me, 'You must be so frustrated about Harry not being able to serve abroad.' I would say he's on exercise somewhere. I've been incredibly proud of Harry and I promise you... equally proud of all the dedicated service given by all our armed forces."

Prince Harry Serves in Afghanistan
British Prince Harry has been serving with the army in Afghanistan since late December, it was reported today. In a hush-hush deployment, nobody except close family knew that the third-in-line was heading to war. Harry said prior to his deployment, "I finally get the chance to do the soldiering that I want to do." He was meant to go to Iraq last year before plans were scrapped.

Mr Blackwell's Worst Dressed in 2007
He started in 1960, and again this year he comes up with the goods. Mr Blackwell's Worst Dressed 2007 list came out yesterday, and Victoria Beckham topped the list of horribly dressed stars last year. "In one skinny-mini monstrosity after another, pouty 'Posh' can really wreck-em," said Blackwell of one half of 2007's most powerful supercouple.
Number two on the list was singer Amy Winehouse with her "Exploding beehives above...tacky polka-dots below...she's part 50's car-hop horror." Mary Kate Olsen polled at number three, with Blackwell saying of the actress "YIKES! In layers of cut-rate kitsch, Mary Kate's look is hard to explain...she resembles a tattered toothpick-trapped in a hurricane." And former Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson got a dig too, when Blackwell described number four, singer Fergie: "Another style-free 'Fergie' in fashion's hall of shame? Yes, when it comes to couture chaos, guess it's all in a name." Also featuring on the list are American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson, actress Eva Green, Canadian rocker Avril Lavigne, hehe Jessica "Yall" Simpson and train wreck Lindsay Lohan.
