New mum Cate Blanchett took her six day old son Ignatius with her today to the Government's Australia 2020 Summit at Parliament House in Canberra. The actress will co-chair the creative meeting. Fellow actor Hugh Jackman joked with reporters, "I have given her my kids - she is looking after them for the weekend. Cate Blanchett is superwoman ... she is amazing on every level, I think she is flawless as a person and I am thrilled that she is leading our stream."

Actress Cate Blanchett welcomed her third son yesterday in Sydney. Ignatius Martin is the third child for the Oscar-winning star and her husband, playright Andrew Upton. Weighing 7lbs, 9oz Ignatius joins elder brothers Dashiell John and Roman Robert.

Pregnant Cate Blanchett supported her director husband Andrew Upton at the premiere of his new play, The Year of Magical Thinking, on Saturday night at the Sydney Theatre Company. The couple expect their third child - rumoured to be a boy - in the coming weeks, they are already parents to Dashiell, 6, and Roman, 3 and 1/2.
